What do you want?

As you may know (hint: my amazon widget), I’m reading The 4-Hour-Workweek now for the second time. And if you have any intention do do something different in your life or better said, to make a difference in your life, read this book.

Timothy Ferris is the real deal. He practice what he preaches.  He says:”Doing the unrealistic is easier than doing the realistic!” And I like it.

So, What do you want? What are your goals? These questions are too imprecise to get you in an action-mode. The better question you should ask yourself is:“What would excite you?”

Is your timeline packed full of unrealistic but exciting dreams? Start defining steps in order to reach your goals. All this planning,  goal-setting and time-management is worth nothing, if it’s not backed up by action.

It’s time. Go for it. Move. Now …

To your success in 2008

Why Do You Want The Money?

Ask yourself, when you’re setting the “New Goals For 2008″.
(Part2_Goalsetting)

It’s funny how many people really don’t know the answer to that one.

Only with a clear picture of what the money will be good for, your mind will help you to get it.
And if you don’t know what you really want, you’ll have a lot harder time getting the money.

This is not rocket science and not about “The Secret”. Your mind needs a reason “WHY” combined with an image and related emotions. Too simple?

Almost no-one really wants money because of the money. Seriously. Money is a great resource, like time, manpower, skills or knowledge. It’s just paper, my friend. And today it’s even crazier - only numbers or digits. Money is becoming more and more virtuell.

What do you wanna get out of the money? Most people will say a new house or a fancy car or a boat or whatever.

Stuff. But that stuff represents something to them that’s more than just the house or car or boat.
Did you reviewed your New Years Resolutions? Is it only a wish or a goal (timeframed, measurable, relistic) for you?

Why do you want it? What does it mean to you? It may be security. It may be prestige. It may be time.
What will you really accomplish through the money, the car, the house, the boat, etc. ?

The ultimate answer to the question is different for everyone. But the answer reveals your true goals for 2008 or your life.
And often money isn’t the issue or the solution to get what you really want.

While you’re making “New Goals For 2008_Part 2″, keep that in mind. When you’re setting goals of any kind, at any time.
Think about what the things you’re aiming for really mean to you.

Clarity on that questions help you to define your goals better. And that dramatically increases your chances of reaching them. It’s much easier to take action and hit a target if you can see it. Feel it. And if you know the reason WHY.

Think deeper. Think again and write down your goals for 2008.

Tomorrow you’ll get an easy way on “Goal-Setting”. Two videos. Free.

What does money mean to you? Let me know and leave a comment.
